Miranda Lambert made history Wednesday morning when she was nominated for nine CMA Awards, the most ever for a female country music artist.
She'll be celebrating with close friends Lady Antebellum and fiance Blake Shelton. Lady A earned the second most nominations with five and Shelton was next with four, tied with Zac Brown Band.

| Elton John and Leon Russell Release First Single from Collaborative Album |
Elton John and Leon Russell have issued the first single from their forthcoming collaborative album, "The Union," due Oct. 19 on Decca Records. Titled "If It Wasn't For Bad," the song features vocals from both musical legends as well as John on piano.
Produced by T-Bone Burnett, "The Union" is John and Russell's first collaboration since 1970. In July, John said the album was an attempt to move away from pop music and "be mature" with his work, and that he hopes the disc brings more exposure ...read more...

| Neil Young Announces New Album, 'Le Noise' |
Neil Young has announced the release of new solo album "Le Noise," due out Sept. 28 on Reprise Records. The eight-song follow-up to 2009's "Fork in the Road" is a stripped-down collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan).

Just days after Jazmine Sullivan's "Holding You Down (Goin' In Circles)" remix featuring Mary J. Blige was released, Blige announced Tuesday (Aug. 31) that she will be joining forces with the R&B singer/songwriter once again. The two powerhouses, along with newcomer Miguel, will hit the road for a fall trek that starts Oct. 2 in Atlanta, Ga. and will stop in New York, Detroit and Los Angeles before wrapping up in Oakland, Calif. on Oct. 23.
