Guitarist Delaney Bramlett Dies At 69
Rock guitarist Delaney Bramlett, who collaborated with such artists as George Harrison and Eric Clapton, died in a Los Angeles hospital following gallbladder surgery. He was 69.
His wife, Susan Lanier-Bramlett, said he died on Saturday after "seven hard months" of ill health.
"I held him and he held on up until the last breath with which he went in peace to the light and on into eternity," she said in a statement.

Bjork Turns Venture Capitalist
Bjork has partnered with a Reykjavik-based venture capital firm on a fund that will invest in companies that are socially and environmentally responsible and will help restore Iceland's battered economy.
The Icelandic artist established the venture fund with Audur Capital and given her name to it.
BJORK is intended for investors seeking opportunities in new venture creation and the development of small companies with the objective of helping the recovery of the Icelandic economy.

DMX Heading To Jail On Drug, Cruelty Charges
Embattled rapper DMX faces at least 90 days in jail after pleading guilty on Tuesday to drug, theft and animal cruelty charges, Arizona prosecutors said.
The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, pleaded to three felony charges and one misdemeanor count in Maricopa County Superior Court under a deal to settle three criminal cases against him. He also agreed not to own any animals or posses firearms.
Simmons, 38, is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 30. He remains in custody.
Spurred on by two reunions at benefits for President-elect Barack Obama, the surviving members of the Grateful Dead will embark on their first tour in five years this spring.
The Dead will hit the road beginning April 12 in Greensboro, N.C., and will play 16 "evening with" shows in 19 cities through May 10 in San Francisco. Tickets begin going on sale Jan. 13.
