| Folk Legend Odetta Dies At 77 |
Odetta, the folk singer with the powerful voice who moved audiences and influenced fellow musicians for a half-century, has died. She was 77.
Odetta died Tuesday (Dec. 2) of heart disease at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital, said her manager of 12 years, Doug Yeager. She was admitted to the hospital with kidney failure about three weeks ago, he said.

| 'Twilight' Star Stewart To Play Joan Jett |
Fresh from the box-office success of "Twilight," Kristen Stewart is set to portray Joan Jett in "The Runaways," the rock'n'roll biopic of the 1970s all-girl band.
The Runaways were hugely influential as the first commercially successful all-girl hard rock band; their members included guitarists Jett and Lita Ford, drummer Sandy West, singer-keyboardist Cherie Currie and bassist Jackie Fox.

| Beyonce Starts 'Fierce' Atop Album Chart |
Beyonce scores her third straight No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 this week as the double-disc "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" (Music World/Columbia) shifts a whopping 482,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

| Keith Urban To Tour Behind New Album |
Keith Urban will tour North America next spring in support of his as-yet-untitled new album, due March 31 from Capitol Nashville. Dates are not confirmed, but the trek is expected to begin in May and run through the summer.
Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley, Glen Campbell, Lady Antebellum and the Zac Brown Band will support on various dates. Tickets will go on sale early next year.
