T.I.'s 'Trail' On Track For No. 1 Debut T.I.'s "Paper Trail" (Grand Hustle/Atlantic) is on course to debut at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 next week. The rapper's sixth studio set leads Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart, released today (Oct. 3). Unweighted sales of "Paper Trail" through the close of business yesterday stood at 357,000.

Janet Delays Three More Shows Due To Illness Janet Jackson has postponed three more shows because of an undisclosed illness. Her publicist said in an e-mail late Saturday that Jackson was postponing a Saturday show in Greensboro, N.C., one on Sunday in Atlanta and a third on Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

A statement from Jackson said she arrived in Greensboro, N.C., hoping to perform there Saturday, but a local doctor advised that she not perform after it became "evident" she was not fully recovered.

Lil Wayne Already Recording 'Tha Carter IV' His latest album, "Tha Carter III," has only been out since May, but Lil Wayne is already recording its follow-up. According to his blog on ESPN.com, the rapper is in the studio working on "Tha Carter IV" as well as a new mixtape.

The latter, "Dedication 3," will fall under DJ Drama's "Gangsta Grillz" series and "you can expect [it] real soon," Wayne says.

Kid Rock Goes Digital With Rhapsody Kid Rock has ended his long holdout from making music available to digital music services by granting Rhapsody a four-month exclusive on his catalog.

Starting today (Oct. 3), Kid Rock's music on Rhapsody is available for DRM-free purchase as full albums only, while individual songs can be downloaded only under the subscription plan, or streamed via the services' 25 free songs a month offer.

Springsteen Adds Obama Gigs, 'Heroes' Benefit Having already announced an Oct. 16 benefit for Barack Obama's presidential campaign with Billy Joel in New York, Bruce Springsteen is taking his activism to the next level.

The artist will play acoustic sets at three Obama/voter registration rallies in the coming days as the Oct. 6 deadline for voter registration looms. First up is an open-air rally Oct. 4 in Philadelphia, followed by a show the next day on the Ohio State campus in Columbus, Ohio.
