Louboutins is the first brand new single to mark Jennifer Lopez's comeback to the music industry. The song was premiered and performed live for the first time at the 2009 American Music Awards.
The song was co-produced and co-written by Tricky Stewart and The-Dream and was initially recorded by Brandy but when she left Epic Records the song stayed with the label and subsequently given to Lopez. This is the second time in her ten year career that she has acquired a song previously recorded by Brandy, the first being "Ryde or Die" featured on Lopez's album Rebirth originally recorded for Brandy's Afrodisiac.
"Louboutins" was released on November 23, 2009 and is the first single from "Love?", the upcoming seventh studio album from American pop singer Jennifer Lopez. The song was named after Christian Louboutin's designer footwear.
